The kids' level of the contest is designed for children in the age range of 5 to 10 years of age. To be a part of the baby contest your child must be no older 4 years of age or they will be included in the kids contest. When it is time for a new catalog series for the year parents are invited to submit photographs of their children based on age groups. Each year the Gap clothing company has a photo contest that is held in conjunction with Disney Family to find new faces for their annual catalogs.

About the Gap Casting Call

The contest is divided into very specific categories and age groups in order to provide enough models for each range of clothing they offer. The photo contest is open to all children under the age of ten which is where the Gap line of children's cloths cuts off. This is something relatively new from the Gap and Disney Family and is designed to work together with families to give their children a chance to model the clothing that is seen in their catalog.

But they will also appear in the windows and displays in Gap stores, not only will their pictures be used in the catalogs. There will be five winners selected in each group in order to provide the necessary number of models for the new catalogs. The kids' photo contest is open to those from age 5 to ten and is divided in the same way. The baby contest is open to those under the age of 4 and is split into both a boys section and a girls section.

How Do I Get My Child Involved?

After this each photo will be examined by a panel of moderators whose job it is to approve your child's photograph for entry into the competition. In order to get your child involved in this photo contest sponsored by the Gap you will need to complete an entry at the Disney Family website and submit your photographs.

A second gift card and a trip to see Disney's The Lion King in New York or Las Vegas, one winner from each category will also receive the opportunity to be on posters in the store windows for one month. Disney also provides a selection of gifts for each winner. Currently the prizes include a professional photo shoot provided by Gap and a $500 gift card for their stores. There will be a total of five boys and five girls in each age group selected as spokesmodels for the company. When the last day to enter has passed there will be a panel of judges who select the final 20 winners of Gap Casting Call photo contest.
